Whole-home remodeling in Fort Worth.

Kitchens, baths and full-house updates for the brick ranches, older bungalows and newer builder homes on the south side. A Fort Worth crew, working a few miles from where it lives.

Hometown crew

Fort Worth houses deserve a Fort Worth crew.

Fort Worth is a city of houses built in layers. Brick ranches from the fifties and sixties, tight Southside bungalows, and newer subdivisions out toward Burleson and Crowley. Each one needs a different plan, and we have opened up plenty of all three.

Our shop is on East Felix Street, and most of our work is within a short drive of it. We know the floor plans, the slab-on-grade surprises and the way a small kitchen sits off a closed-in dining room. We also know you will see us at the grocery store.

What we build is modern and plain: open rooms, good light, clean lines, materials that hold up to Texas summers. Whole houses first, then the kitchens and baths that make them work.

What we build first

Whole houses first. Then the kitchens and baths that make them work.

Three big jobs fill most of our calendar. Each one starts with a plan for the whole house, even when we only build one room of it.

Open-plan living room, dining area and kitchen after a whole-home remodel in a south Fort Worth house 01

Whole-Home Remodeling

The full update, planned once and built in order. Walls come out between the kitchen and living room, floors run continuous, baths get rebuilt, and lighting and electrical get redone through the whole house. It suits a Wedgwood or Seminary ranch with good bones and a chopped-up plan that no longer fits how you live.

Kitchen Remodeling

We rebuild the kitchen around how your household actually cooks. That often means opening a wall to the den, moving the range, adding a real island and putting in proper storage and lighting. Older Fort Worth kitchens are small and boxed in, and a good plan gives them room to breathe.

Bathroom Remodeling

Primary and hall baths taken back to the framing and rebuilt. Walk-in showers with clean glass, double vanities where the room allows, new plumbing and good ventilation. Many mid-century houses here have one cramped bath for the whole family, and we can usually find the space for a second.

The rest of the house

Seven more big jobs, same crew.

Nobody here only does kitchens. Additions, outdoor rooms, windows, the front of the house and ground-up builds all run out of the same shop on East Felix Street.

How a job runs

Five steps, in this order.

Every project follows the same path, from the first call to the day we hand the keys back.

  1. Step 1

    You call, we come out

Call the shop and we set a time to see the house. We walk it with you, listen to what is not working and take our own measurements.

  2. Step 2

    We draw it

You get a plan for the new layout, with walls, windows and rooms shown clearly enough that you can picture living in it.

  3. Step 3

    We price it in writing

A written scope lays out what is included, line by line. You read it, ask questions and agree before any material is ordered.

  4. Step 4

    We build it

Demo, framing, plumbing and electrical, drywall, tile, cabinets, paint. The same crew, in sequence, with a schedule you can follow.

  5. Step 5

    We walk it with you

At the end we go room by room, fix the small stuff on the list and leave the house clean and ready to use.

Why Cowtown

Three things you can count on.

  • 1

    Plans that fit the house

A Seminary ranch and a Crowley builder home need different thinking. We design around what the structure allows, so the result feels like it was always meant to be there.

  • 2

Straight talk on the big stuff

If a wall is holding up the roof or a slab has moved, we tell you early and plan around it. You hear about surprises from us, not from a change in the bill.

  • 3

    Neighbors, not strangers

Most of our jobs are a short drive from the shop. We keep the work tidy, respect the street and expect to see you again around town.

What does a whole-home remodel in Fort Worth involve?

It means planning the whole house as one project. That can include moving walls, rebuilding the kitchen and baths, new floors, lighting and electrical, all scheduled in order. You deal with one crew and one timeline instead of juggling separate contractors for each room.

Will we have to move out during the work?

For a kitchen or a bath, usually not. We seal off the work area and keep a clear path through the house. For a full-house project, we talk it through at the start, because living there during demo gets hard.

Can you work on a 1950s or 60s brick ranch?

Yes, and that is a lot of what we do on the south side. Slab foundations, old drain lines and walls that were never meant to open are familiar. We look at those early so they are in the plan and the price.

How long will it take?

A kitchen or bath takes a few weeks on site once materials arrive. A whole-house job takes a few months. We give you a written schedule before we start and tell you right away if anything moves.

Do you build in Burleson and Crowley, too?

We do. Newer homes there have open plans but builder-grade finishes, and many owners want a better kitchen, a bigger primary bath or an addition. If you are near our south Fort Worth shop, call and ask.

How do I get an estimate?

Call the shop or send the form. We come out, walk the house and measure. You get a written scope with a price for each part of the job, and the visit costs nothing.
